February Foodie Penpal Reveal

This month my foodie penpal was Teresa where she mentioned that she prefers savoury and wanted to try new spices and to try my favorite cuisine. I love Greek food and that was the theme of her parcel.

I was also paired with Hannah who doesn’t have a blog to share. We had a quick email chat and she was away. Her love of Asian food sparked the theme of this amazing parcel. I opened the parcel and just went exploring!

First the chinese pastries were stolen by my husband, so I think they must have been nice. There were some Japanese rice crackers that didn’t last long either as they are one of my faves. Then came the bulk of the parcel, and such fresh and amazing ingredients. From the fiery chillies to the galangal and fresh tumeric! Fantastic. I love the dried stuff, and was so pleased to be able to try the fresh. Along with garlic, ginger, shallots and thai prawn crackers. Well you can imagine that I could only be so impressed with such a well thought out and thoughtful parcel.

Hannah also included an amazing recipe to use all of these ingredients that she got from her mother in law, and WOW! It was hot and delicious. I will be making this again and will post a photo.
